M3U NOW: Introduction.

M3U NOW is a play list editor for Windows 95/98 (WIN2000 B3 as well) with M3U NOW you can make multiple M3U files at the same time. M3U files contains information on MP3 files.

M3U NOW: Installation

After down loading, unzip and run Setup.exe. Please select the new location of M3U NOW, after installing please don't move the location of the files as this will inhibit the uninstall procedure.

M3U NOW: Download

Upon running m3u now for the first time it should give you a warning message about the setting file, don't worry this is normal, just fill in the two boxes and press OK.

This program requires Winamp, the commonly used MP3 player, if you don't have Winamp then a copy can be downloaded free of charge at:

www.Winamp.com

If you do not know the exact location of Winamp on your computer then click on the search tag and select a drive to look in. If you have Winamp in that drive the program will find it.

Default MP3 directory is the root directory of your MP3 files, if like me you have a large amount of MP3 one drive, select the drive as the default MP3 directory. For example "C:\MY_MP3_SONGS". Please enter a path here even if you do not have a default place for your MP3s ("C:\" for example).

M3U NOW: Usage

M3U NOW works by a drag and drop method; firstly you can open an existing M3U file or make a new one. Then right click on an open play list to add a new MP3, this will bring up another window, here you can manually look for MP3 to add or press search to search in the directory tree under the currently selected directory. Now simply drag and drop the mp3s to the play list you want it if appear in.

M3U NOW: Play List use

Once in a play list a MP3 file can be copied to another this by dragging and dropping. Removed by pressing Delete, Backspace or selecting remove > remove MP3 from the Pop-down menu. Use can move an item up or down a list by holding and pressing the up or down arrow key. If you wish to play a song then simply double click it or selecting play > play MP3.

M3U NOW: uninstall

To uninstall MP3 NOW just go to the add/remove part of the control panel and select M3U NOW.

M3U NOW: Issues

M3U NOW works best at 1024x768 resolution. There maybe problems with VERY long file names.
